Downtown Aerie
New York City
We created an elegant home fitting for this 3,700 SF apartment high above downtown New York City.
From the front door, a long grand gallery greets you with a view of daylight from the large living and dining rooms. The gallery splits the primary suite from all the other rooms.
Elegant, spare mouldings create a modern feeling, but with a touch of the traditional. Cove lighting blends in with the subtly stepped ceilings.
With three exposures of daylight, we also worked hard to maximize the ceiling heights in this light and airy apartment. From our extensive experience, we massage and direct how to route all of the ducts and infrastructure with the engineers in service of the design.
Simple requests like glass shelves at the bar can be a challenge when a one piece mirrored back is desired. Complex behind-the-wall thinking made this possible. More detail can be seen here>
