New York City
For this pied-à-terre in midtown Manhattan, We explored an apartment that will transform for various scenarios: a living room that will convert to a guest room, a dining table for two that will transform for a party of 12; and an office that will also sleep two.
A large folding wall will act as a TV wall panel when “closed”. When “opened” a guest room is created with its own en suite bathroom.
With three exposures and a fabulous view of Central Park, the apartment can morph in the other rooms with the installation of furniture that can change from a desk to a queen size bed; or a couch into bunk beds. In this way, the apartment can hold a multitude of guests.
